Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) organized a Workshop on data collection at the household level through ‘Livelihood Diary’ at CPRD conference room on 11th October 2021.
This workshop aims to kick off the project “Patterns and drivers of livelihood shifts in the GBM delta, with a specific focus on young entrepreneurs’ role in diversifying livelihoods” at the ground level. Representatives of all the partner organizations of this project joined the event. Dr. Manoj Roy from Environmental Center of the Lancaster University has commenced the project through virtually attending the meeting. He addressed the importance of this event and delivered his comprehensive speech guiding different issues of data collection at the field level.
Afterward, Mr Md. Shamsuddoha, Chief Executive of CPRD has inaugurated the ‘Livelihood Diary’ and briefed the role of all partners in the project. Participants from Manab Mukti Songstha (MMS), PROYAS, Shushilon, Dwip Unnayan Songstha (DUP) have actively joined the workshop. Mr. Md. Akib Jabed, Senior Research Assistant of CPRD has coordinated the whole event and carried out the sessions along with exercises. Mr. Tapos Das, Research Associate of BRAC University, has conducted exercises on Household locations and Environmental Risk mapping. Afterward, an exercising session on ‘Livelihood Diary’ was conducted by Mr. Jabed and Mr. Das.
The event ended with a concluding speech from Dr. Ehsanul Kabir from the Environmental Center of Lancaster University. Dr. Kabir expressed his gratitude to all the participants and thanked CPRD for hosting the workshop. Mr. Shamsuddoha and Dr. Kabir constantly monitored the whole event.
