Shohanur Rahman

Shohanur Rahman, presently serving as a Research Officer specializing in Biodiversity and Nature-based Solutions at the Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) in Bangladesh, stands as a committed environmental advocate.

Holding a Master of Science in Oceanography from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Shohanur seamlessly transitioned from his role as a Research Intern at CPRD, actively engaging in the ongoing project “Research and Advocacy for Climate Justice for LDCs, Bangladesh, under the Paris Climate Agreement.” Showcasing a keen eye for visual storytelling, he played a pivotal role in documenting “Climate Resilient Urban Development in Bangladesh.”

His versatile skill set, encompassing proficiency in GIS, data analysis, programming, and expertise in documentation, reflects a holistic approach to sustainability. Currently focused on the project “Research and Advocacy for Addressing Climate-induced Loss and Damage,” Shohanur envisions a more resilient future, contributing through his work at CPRD to shape sustainable solutions and promote biodiversity conservation alongside nature-based strategies for addressing climate challenges.
