Mir Mehoraf Sharif

Mir Mehoraf Sharif joined the Center for Participatory Research & Development (CPRD) on 1st September 2016 and currently serves as Assistant Manager of ICT & Communication. In this role, he oversees all IT-related tasks and communication for CPRD. His dedication to climate change initiatives is evident through his active participation in climate activism, field data collection, data digitalization, and research activities. He has significantly contributed to CPRD’s policy briefing papers and journal publications.

Mr. Mehoraf’s commitment to climate change is further highlighted by his attendance at numerous training sessions and workshops. Notably, he completed a three-month-long training on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation provided by the Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB), where he achieved 1st  place among 25 climate professionals.

Before his tenure at CPRD, Mr. Mehoraf served as an ICT trainer at the Society for Bright Social Service under the Learning and Earning Development Project of Bangladesh’s Ministry of ICT. From 2009 to 2014, he gained valuable experience working as a customer service supervisor and distribution manager at Airtel Bangladesh Limited.

Mr. Mehoraf holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the State University of Bangladesh. His fields of interest include climate change mitigation and adaptation, ICT in climate change, the blue economy, technological use in climate change adaptation, and green energy.

Through his multifaceted expertise and commitment, Mr. Mehoraf continues to contribute to the advancement of climate knowledge and the promotion of sustainable practices.
