Mir Mehoraf Sharif joined the Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) on 1 September 2016 and currently serves as the Assistant Manager – ICT & Communication. In this capacity, he leads the organization’s information and communication technology (ICT) operations while providing strategic support for digital communication, data management, and research initiatives. His work encompasses the digitalization of field data, management of ICT systems, maintenance of digital platforms, and technical support for climate research and advocacy. He has made significant contributions to CPRD’s policy briefs, research publications, and knowledge products, strengthening the organization’s evidence-based advocacy on climate justice and sustainable development.

Prior to joining CPRD, Mr. Sharif gained extensive professional experience in ICT training, customer service, and distribution management, building a strong foundation in information technology and organizational operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the State University of Bangladesh. His professional interests include climate change adaptation and mitigation, the application of ICT in climate action, digital innovation for resilience, the blue economy, and renewable and green energy. He has also successfully completed an intensive three-month professional training on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, securing first position among 25 participating climate professionals. Through his interdisciplinary expertise in ICT and climate research, Mr. Sharif continues to support CPRD’s mission of advancing climate knowledge, policy engagement, and sustainable development.
