Raida Kadir is a Research Officer at the Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD), Bangladesh. She holds a Master of Science (MS) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Oceanography from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh.

Her research interests include climate change, marine and coastal ecosystems, remote sensing, geospatial analysis, and evidence-based policy research. She is interested in applying environmental data and Earth observation to support climate resilience and informed decision-making.

Prior to joining CPRD, Raida contributed to research and development projects on climate, environment, and coastal ecosystems, including a citizen-led coastal ecosystem monitoring platform. She completed a research internship at the Centre for Policy Research, Universiti Sains Malaysia, where she analysed climate change impacts using environmental data and contributed to evidence-based policy recommendations and long-term monitoring frameworks. She also received an international shipboard fellowship in the North Sea, gaining hands-on experience in field sampling and multidisciplinary research.

Raida has experience conducting field surveys, stakeholder engagement, and socio-environmental data collection across diverse communities to support research on climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and evidence-based management.  She also has experience in GIS, remote sensing, hydrodynamic modelling, and programming using R, Python, MATLAB.
