Dr. Hoimonti Barua
Dr. Hoimonti Barua joined Centre for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) as a Research Assistant and is involved in the project titled ‘Research and Advocacy to enhance climate change justice for LDCs, Bangladesh in particular under Paris Climate Agreement. Ms. Barua has a Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. She is a Visiting Fellow at the Nepal Institute of International Cooperation and Engagement in Nepal. Before CPRD she has interned at Engender Health, a New Delhi-based international non-governmental organization. She was a recipient of the prestigious doctoral fellowship of the ICSSR. She has presented research papers in several international conferences and also has numerous publications in various national and international journals and digital news portals. She is a qualitative researcher; her area of research interests is multidisciplinary including but not limited to climate change, migration, displacement, and foreign policy analysis of Bangladesh in particular and the South Asian region in general.
