“Human Rights and Climate Justice: Global and National Policy Narratives” to be held on 20th February 2020 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Greetings from Center for Participatory Research and Development-CPRD!

CPRD is a national-level policy think tank that has been consistent in research and policy advocacy for establishing climate justice and the full realization of SDGs. On climate justice, CPRD always emphasizes the full implementation of the Paris Agreement (PA) 2015, and hitherto published a number of distinct policy papers on the key debated issues of PA e.g. loss and damage, displacement and migration, etc. that got significant attention both in national and international (UNFCCC) level.

We are delighted to invite you for joining us the roundtable discussion on “Human Rights and Climate Justice: Global and National Policy Narratives” to be held on February 20, 2020, at Seminar Hall, Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), Agargoan, Dhaka. CPRD is going to organize such meeting under the project titled ‘Research and Advocacy to enhance climate justice for LDCs, Bangladesh in Particular under the Paris Climate Agreement’ supported by the Bread for the World, Germany. The project aimed at strengthening human rights and gender obligations in national and global CSO debate on L&D and forced migration.

The roundtable discussion will take place from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and we will be highly pleased if you could kindly join us. We are happy to let you know that Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairman, PKSF gave his kind consent to grace the session as the Chair.

We strongly believe that your kind presence and insightful inputs to the discussion and policy guidance will certainly enrich the strengthening of human and gender rights to the national and global policy discourses.

Thanks and regards.
