Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) implemented a two-day training programme titled ‘Climate Change: Impacts, Policies, and Actions’ during 8-9 October 2018 at the NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB) of the Government of Bangladesh. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairman, PKSF, Mr. K.M. Abdus Salam, Director General, NGOAB, Dr. Md. Helal Uddin, Director, NGOAB and Md Shamsuddoha, Chief Executive, CPRD spoke at the inauguration of the training.
The training aimed at building capacity of relevant government and NGO professionals on the science, impacts and contemporary policy discourses of addressing climate change, including Loss and Damage under the Warsaw International Mechanism (WIM), Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and Country Commitments, Technologies for Adaptation and Mitigation, Climate Change Implications on Human Rights in the context of Forced Displacement and Migration etc.
